Welcome back!

Hi everyone! How is it going?
I'm so sorry for the delay. There's a lot going on right now and I don't have time enough to have a sit and write. I couln't even mail a letter to my friends! So I need take it easy and relax. I wish I had free time as I used to but the first month here has been crazy! There have been many changes lately and sometimes it's not easy to handle everything. But finally I'm back! "The Evainny's fashion diary" is still here. I gotta catch you up!

"The Evainny's fashion diary" todavía está aquí. Tengo que poneos al día!

As you guys know, I've came to USA for a year. I'm working in DC as au pair looking after 4 kids! OMG! haha. My goal is improve my English and try to figure out how can I get in the fashion industry in NYC. I took the first step, I'm already in the states! haha. Second step, travel at least once a month to the City and knock doors (I'm just 3 hours away by train) And the third step, save money!!!! Living in Manhattan is pretty expensive... But this step is really hard, how can a shopaholic save money during a year? I've got the answer! Not entering or Victoria's secret store or any shoe store. But I think I'll start next month... :)

Oh my god! jaja. :)

The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood pretty close to downtown DC. I love this area, it's full of trees, plants, flowers, bunny rabbits, deers, squirrels... It's really nice working out or just take a walk while I'm watching the stunning houses around. I introduce you mine... I can't believe I've got a walk-in closet in my room!!!

I was 3 days in NYC a couple of weeks ago. I was so looking forward to coming back since I left the town last year. I was visiting some friends, walking around, taking pictures, partying... I had so much fun! It's impossible getting bored if you are there.

I promised from my blog I soon as I get in NYC I'd visit The Metropolitan Museum because there is a special exhibition offered by the Art Costume Institute Gala called: "American woman, fashioning a national identity". I really wanted to see all those dresses and notice their evolution through the years. It was awesome! I loved it! It was not allowed taking pictures inside but I found some on internet to show you.

Estuvo fenomenal! Me encantó!

Talking about fashion, I'd like to show you also some pics...  " Sex and the City 2" brought it back to the City all the galmour. Check it out to Macy's and Bergdorf Goodman's showcases... If you've already watched the movie, do you recognize the wardrobe behind me?

You may also wanna see these showcases... Take a look!

Whashington is totally different to NYC. DC is more about the american history, the US Constitution, politics... Nothing about fashion. But some weeks ago I wanted to hang out with a friend from South Africa and we went to have some drinks to downtown. What a surprise when we saw a fashion show! It was gonna start in the middle of the street! Everything was ready, the catwalk, the lights, the music, the people, the photographers... We were standing in the middle of the people and I was freaking out because I couldn't see the catwalk at all. I wanted have a sit and watch the show with no heads in front of me but the sits were reserved and already occupied. But suddenly, a lady with a list in her hands came toward us and she asked: "Would you girls have a seat?", (what? Yeah, of course!) So we followed her and there were two free seats for both of us with a gift on it. What a luck! The fashion show is gonna start, enjoy it!

El show va a empezar! Que lo distrutéis!

Well, so this is it for today.  Just remember...

Bueno, pues esto es todo por hoy. Sólo recuerda...

XOXO
Besos y abrazos
