Fashion's Night Out in Georgetown, Washington DC

Hi everyone!

I'm so sorry for the delay of the post but my laptop is broken. I can't live without my laptop! Is the only way to keep in touch with my family and friends in Spain!! So, I gotta fix it or get a new one but at the mind time I have to come to the public library and write from here. The library is always crowed and sometimes there's no chance to get a computer.

And that said, I'm gonna tell you how was the Fashion's Night Out here in DC. Let me be complety honest with you guys, it was good but not as I expected. It was a common shopping night except for the Dj in the middle of the street and the ballons in some stores. Well, and a pink convertible with loud music parked in front of a store. No cocktails, no gifts, no special offers! I know how was that night in NYC and what a difference!! Maybe next year... Who knows...?

Siento en retraso del post pero mi portatil esta roto. No puedo vivir sin portatil! Es la unica manera de estar en contacto con mi familia y mis amigos en Espana. Asi que tengo que arreglarlo o comprarme uno nuevo, pero por ahora tengo que venir a la biblioteca y escribir desde aqui. La biblioteca esta siempre a parir y a veces es imposible pillar un ordenador. ( Ademas el teclado no tiene  ni tildes ni la letra que va entre la n y la o, con lo cual no puedo ni escribir Espana en condiciones, jajaja)

Y dicho esto, os cuento como fue la Fashion's Night Out aqui en Washington DC. Os soy sincera, estuvo bien pero no como esperaba. Fue una noche de compras de lo mas normal excepto por el Dj en mitad de la calle y globos en algunas tiendas. Bueno, y por un descapotable rosa con la musica bastante alta aparcado en frente de una tienda. Nada de cockails, nada de regalos, nada de ofertas especiales! Se como fue esa noche en Nueva York y menuda diferencia!! Quiza el anyo q viene... quien sabe?

Anyway, I had a lot of fun walking around ( it was a right decission not wearing hight hills finally), taking photos, having a nice dinner in a spanish restaurant and going to an amazing dance club with some friends :)

De todos modos, me lo pase muy bien recorriendo la zona ( fue una decision acertada no llevar tacones), haciendo fotos, cenando con unos amigos en un restaurante espanol y yendo a un local que era una pasada :)

Vogue Fashion's Night Out 2010

A global fashion event is coming up within the next few days!!!

For one night, on September 10th from 6pm to 11pm, in New York City and other cities around the world, designers, celebrities, models, photographers, bloggers and fashionable people will be mingling with shoppers around the stores opened after-hours to the public. It's a great chance to shop and celebrate fashion and style while drinking cocktails, having something to nibble and talking with them. Expect everything from live music, stylists advices, exclusive promotions and more surprises.

En unos cuantos días llega un evento mundial en el mundo de la moda!!!

Por una noche, el 10 de Septiembre, desde las 6 de la tarde hasta las 11 de la noche, en Nueva York y en otras ciudades del mundo, diseñadores, celebrities, modelos, fotógrafos, bloggers y gente de moda se estarán mezclando con aquellas personas que vayan de compras a todas las tiendas abiertas al publico fuera del horario comercial. Es una gran oportunidad para comprar y celebrar la moda y el estilo mientras bebes cocktails, picas algo y hablas con ellos. Puedes esperar de todo, desde música en vivo, consejos de estilistas, promociones exclusivas y más sorpresas.

Unfortunatelly, I won't be in NYC on September 10th because I gotta work. I wish I could go there but I'll be free at  6pm and I don't have enough time to grab a bus. But I'm not gonna miss this event, no way. So I'll go for sure to Georgetown, the style district and the best neighborhood for shopping here in Washington DC.

It's time to wear high heels and take my camera. Let's enjoy that night at over 80 stores throughout Georgetown!!

Por desgracia, no estaré en Nueva York el 10 de Septiembre porque tengo que trabajar. Ojalá pudiera ir pero termino a las 6 de la tarde y no me da tiempo a coger un bus. Pero no me voy a perder este evento por nada del  mundo, ni de coña vamos. Así que iré a Georgetown, el distrito del estilo y el mejor barrio para ir de compras aquí en Washington DC.

Hora de llevar tacones y de coger mi cámara. Disfrutemos de esa noche en más de 80 tiendas por todo Georgetown!!
